CUENTOS FILIPINOS is a collection of short stories in Spanish, bringing to life 19th century Philippines as we read "Enriqueta," The Sultana of Jolo," "The Pirate Li-Ma-Hong," "Chang Chuy's Umbrella," among others. The author, José Montero y Vidal, was a distinguished historian of the Spanish era.
Jointly published by the Department of Modern Languages of the School of Humanities, Loyola Schools, Office of the President, and the Program for Cultural Cooperation, CUENTOS FILIPINOS is distributed by the Ateneo de Manila University Press.
