Elynia Mabanglos KUNDIMAN NG KATIPUNAN is an epic written in traditional form in which the line measures are not precise. There are three speakers in this workthe narrator, Andres (Bonifacio) and Oryang (Gregoria de Jesus). Through the lyrical dialogue, Andres and Oryang talk about events in Philippine historythe establishment of the Katipunan, the war between Spain and the Philippines, their flight to Cavite, and others. The author is a multi-awarded poet who has attended writing workshops and read her poetry around the world. She currently resides in Hawaii where she teaches Filipino. Kundiman ng Katipunan won 3rd place at the Centennial Literary Prize awards for the epic.
