A double-novel collection from Ateneo de Manila University Press:

Copyright 2005
ADMU unipress@admu.edu.ph

Both novels tackle love in the context of overpowering ambition and revolution. Honor, reason and freedom are also threshed out by these two late-nineteenth-century writers who were both socially involved artists as well. De los Reyes founded the Iglesia Filipina Independiente and was first president of the historic Union Obrera Democratica, while Palma headed the Aklatang Bayan aside from being a journalist. The collection comes with a critical introduction by Soledad Reyes.
