Rosario de Guzman-Lingat (1924-1997) was a prolific
novelist, essayist, short story and komiks writer
whose works commanded a huge following among readers
of Liwayway and various komiks magazines in the 1960s
and 1970s.

In ANG BALABAL NG DIYOS (first published 1975), Lingat
examines the weaknesses of human nature by narrating
the story of a cult created from the sands of
deception and opportunism.

In ANG SILID NG MAKASALANAN (first published 1973),
she expertly weaves together the lives of disparate
characters as they confront sin, repentance, and
salvation.
