doubt
by Eusebio L. Koh

O questioning eyes that roam my countenance
Wondering where I have been and what I've done
Speak volumes of unsaid protestations
Lodged between the dewdrops of longing and yen

And yet the glimmering sheen that tears bring on
Embraces me with self-loathing for causing you
Sadness at my absence and negligence
Were I to stay would that have made a difference?
