64-square riddle
by Lilac Limpangog

There are no answers
No puzzles to uncover
Not in your green and white 64-squares

I've come from sun-kissed mornings
Where stories unbridled
In finely knitted chords
Of butterflies and rivers and stars all soaked
In laughter piercing
The wilderness yonder filling

Have you at all forgotten
That silence remains
The best listener
Best cure best teacher
Best embrace best place
For a newly-spawned friendship
But yes—a riddle so fascinating

There are no answers
To satiate your soul untamed
Silence is her muse supreme.
