Mudra
Eileen Tabios

—after "Tantric Suite" by Rod Paras-Perez

To kiss the moon
Suspended
Between the soles of her feet

She must become
The essence
Of flexibility

By sitting cross-legged
On the floor
And lowering her back

To form a circle
By dropping her brow
Between her knees

Not like a snake
Swallowing
Its tail

Like compassion
Flexing its muscles
To accept everything, everything, everything
