Filial planets must exist
In this vast universe,
Whose denizens were sundered
By some unfathomed curse.
Am I from Planet Mayhem?
Are you from Planet Peace?
It would explain our differences,
Our wars that never cease.
A chasm spawns our yearning
For a kinder nurturing Sun,
Some terra for our dreams
Of a parable once begun.
A sage once offered teaching
To undo my tightened fists:
"Just linger on His Silent Gaze
You'll see your mirrored bliss."
Filial planets do exist
A stone's throw from our earth.
Agapé cellared in our hearts
of undivided worth.
